Gunslingers, BBQ, and Deal Making

I just spent a day and a half with the strong negotiators at Paladin fs, LLC. Like other high performers, they are constantly “sharpening their saw” to improve skills and do that much better negotiating for their clients.

These micro meetings or strategic company retreats often bring in subject matter experts. The retreats still offer an opportunity to connect, catch up, and prepare for the upcoming year. However, many feature presentations by the team and corporate partners. Some invite clients for educational opportunities and/or to socialize at dinners.

In addition to a tailored negotiation program, the event offered fun dinners (one with Halloween costumes) and a team building activity of shooting rifles with professionals.

❓How could you blend the learning and strategy with fun at your next corporate retreat?
❓What partners or vendors would add valuable knowledge to your next organizational event?
❓How do your subject matter experts customize their material to fit real scenarios your people face?

By the way, if you are looking for a terrific venue that gives you a Texas flair with modern conveniences, consider the Rancho deSilva in Blanco, Texas. My friends in the Society of Wedding Professionals Meeting Professionals International and International Live Events Association (ILEA) you will love the stunning views and modern meets Western venue that edges on Texas Hill Country.

Did sticking around to answer questions and shoot guns pay off? Absolutely, I met amazing leaders AND was served some of the best brisket of my life.
