Wow! I just received the Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) and was inducted into the National Speakers Association Hall of Fame in front of my family and 1000+ professional speaker friends and colleagues at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver Colorado.
This award means a great deal to me. My introducer was the legendary author and speaker, Dianna Booher. Dianna is one of my mentors and dearest friends.
This opportunity allowed me to recognize a few of those who have helped me negotiate this speaking journey. Most importantly, I was able top publicly thank my husband Gregg, our children Parker and Taylor, my brother, Trey, sister, Karen, and our mother Pat. I wish our dad had been there to witness the event. He would have loved it.
